About Winters Grass Farm
Winters Grass Farm is located in the Mohawk Valley just north of the city of Utica. The Winters Family bought the farm in 1999 and it is operated by Jordan, the second of the ten children.
In 2006, Jordan was priviliged to work a one year apprenticeship on
Joel Salatin’s Polyface Farm in the Virginian Shenandoah Valley where
he got hands on experience from one of the foremost speakers and
authors in the pasture-based farming movement. (We highly recommend
Joel’s book “Holy Cows & Hog Heaven” for a great basic introduction
to grass-fed farming.)
